Dye WEDNESDAY i bi ANNUAL MINOR HOCKEY BANQUET A very successful Annual Terrace Bay Minor Hockey Banquet was held at the Moose Hall, Wednesday evening, May 23rd, with approximately 250 boys, parents, coaches, referees, members and guests present. 2a delicious hot meal was prepared and served by many mothers and wives in the community, and young ladies from the three area schools, all of whom so generously volunteered their time and service. A warm round of applause for these ladies was given by all present. The Master of Ceremonies for following the dinner, was Mr. G. Dupas, Recrea- tional Co-ordinator, who kept the programme moving in a very competent and relaxed style. Mr. Dupas thanked all those Present, and intro- duced the head table guests, including: Reeve R. Bray; Mr. Gordon Calder; Mr. and Mrs. EQ Cavanaugh; Mrs. Janine Desrosiers, Yepresent- ing Island View Service; Mr. Tony Costa; Mr. Bob Adamo; Mr. Jim Mikus, representing Shell Canada; Mrs. W.A. Fisher and Mrs. Ollie Chap- man, representing the Recreation Committee. Also introduced were the members of the Execu- tive of Minor Hockey, T. Bruce Scott, president M. Dozois, past President; Ww. Robitaille, sec- retary; P. Pluta, vice President; F. Sechesky, treasurer; Ww. Hanley, referee-in-chief; Mrs. E. Kettle, registrar; members of the Board of the Programme Directors: Mrs. M. Dashkewytch, Mrs. D. Gorham, B. Walsh, F. McMillan, K. Angus, R. Lang, D. Luke; G. Dashkewytch, equipment Manager. Mr. Dupas expressed his hope that great things would be forthcoming to Minor Hockey, through the assistance of Hockey Can- ada. After introducing the head table guests and members of the Executive Committee, Mr. Dupas called on the President, Mr. T. Bruce Scott, who delivered the President's Address. Mr. Scott thanked all those present for atten -ding; he welcomed the donors and head table guests and thanked them all; he expressed his great appreciation to his fellow members of the Executive for their assistance during the Season; and also thanked the parents, coaches, referees, volunteer officials, those who don- ated their time and use of cars during the hockey season; and had warm words of thanks for the mothers and young ladies who Prepared and served the delicious meal. Following the president's address, sentation of hockey awards - anxiously pated by all present - took place. The Cebrario Trophy for the winner of the Atom House League was Presented by the secre- tary, WwW. Robitaille, on behalf of Mr. Bart Cebrario, to the "Mercurys", the winning team, coached by Nap Vienneau, and accepted by himself and the captain, Paul Dashkewytch.
