Mr. Wills presented the Cyclists and Keeper = collectors badges to Glen Korman. Joey Wills, a very talented performer, play ~ed three accordion solos, and then both acc- ompanied, and led, the cubs in a sing-along of obviously favourite numbers. Mrs. Moore announced an invitation has been received to attend a Voyageur Camp-Out in Thun ~der Bay in early July but it would be an un- dertaking requiring the services of several men in both the transporting care of the boys. The boys were delighted to make draws from a treasure box, well-shaken by Mr. Pyke, in which each lad received a prize-the most astoun i ---ded one being the cub who drew his own ticket. A hearty vote of thanks was given to Mrs. Paul Gauthier and Mrs. Camille Perras, former leaders, who prepared the dinner and the girls who served it. Capar received his B.A. degree in I969 from the University of Manitoba and has now complet -ed his three year study in Fine Arts. ART CLUB A group of thirty-one members of the Schrei ber Att Club have attained an enviable record of 99% attendance during their ten week class to be shortly completed. Helen Strickland, the instructor, is parti- cularly pleased with the progress made by mem- bers who started last Fall. There are both men and women attending the class and some of a much younger group. They paint and study weekly in their club and occasionally enjoy the benefit of a pro- fessional teacher. The public is invited to attend their annu- al show being held this year June 9th to IOth. Tickets are now on sale for the draw of an oil painting by Iris Lidkea. MARTIN-WEAVER VOWS EXCHANGED Blue and White carnations adorned St. Andrew's United Church in Schreiber on May I2th for the wedding of Wendy Ann Weaver, daughter of Mr, and Mrs, W.R., Weaver of White River, and Justin Wayne Martin, son of Mr, and Mrs. Ivan J. Martin of Schreiber. Rev, E,C. Prinselaar, of Thunder Bay, officiated. Jack Gordon of Thunder Bay was the organist and Mrs. Alex Gordon the soloist, The ushers were Curtis and Paul Martin, brothers of the groom, The bride's gown, of white crepe, was fashioned with Empire waist line, long bell sleeves, the hem of the dress and the sleeves edged with gulpere lace. Her floor length veil was caught to a wide fitted band of the creps and lace and her bouquet & semi cascade of red roses spiced with babys breath, The bride had four attendants: Mrs. Jody Davis, her sis- ter as matron of honour; Miss Billie Weaver, her sister, lori Foss, her cousin and Janice Martin, sister of the groom, as bridesmaids, They wore similarly styled gowns of blue polyester crimp double knit with lace collars, short puff sleeves and empirs bodices, Their picture hats of poly propylens braid were banded with grosgrain ribbon trimmed with pretend posies, end they carrisd large single white mums edged with lace, Claude Martin was the best men and Ivan Martin the grooms- man.
