Throwing the first rock to open the spiel was Curly Hale, standing in for Reeve Bray who was unable to be present. Assisting Curly as Sweep was Rune Ostling, now residing in Dryden. Curly and Rune were two of the original members of the curling club. Danny Kenney, with his rink of Ken Johnson, Paul Rochon and Paul Malashewski won first place and took the Spadoni Trophy.
