Barnett gave his report to Town Council on Tuesday evening, preceding the regular meeting. Minutes were adopted as read. Correspondence included a letter of resig- nation from Constable P.M. Dozois, from the local Police Force. This was accepted. Restrictive No Parking Signs, suggested in a letter from Chief Barnett led into a lengthy discussion. Both Reeve Bray and Chief Barnett have had complaints re parking along Selkirk Avenue near the Public School so Chief Barnett had been asked to review the situation and come up with some suggestions. These included No Parking on Hudson Drive, on the North and South side at Laurier, on Hudson Drive at Selkirk, north and south sides, Hudson Drive at Drew and in front of Houses 86 and 92, on Hudson Drive. Parking near the Public School on Hudson Drive will probably be limited. Further correspondence included a letter to S. Lundberg, requesting him to continue as Building Inspector for Terrace Bay, for the year I973, with the appointment to be made annually. This led to some discussion as to publishing again in the local paper, the rules and regu- lations covering the need 'of a building per- mit, where any work being done inside or out- side the home, over $100.00, requires the Building Permit. St. Martin's Grade 8 class requested per- mission to hold a Walk-a-thon and this was approved, subject to their making arrangements with the local police force and the O0.P.P. : The Horticultural Society requested permis- ; sion to hold a Bedding Plant Sale on June 7, this was given approval. } The financial report from Pinewood Court, Home for the Aged was received. The Building Inspector's report was re- ceived. A report from the Ministry of the Environ- ment, Management Branch, dealing with the operation of the sanitary land fill site, and several recommendations contained therein, was approved. Accounts passed for payment were Township- '$118,863.80; Hydro - $14,273.04; Library - $692.29; Recreation Committee - $7,817.75. The Building Permit for the extension to the Public School was approved.
