Entries for the shuffleboard event are being accepted now, and for this competition scores are counted individually -- not by teams. Prizes will depend on the number entered in the competit- ion. Mrs. and Mr. Fred Harness, and Mr. and Mrs. Lester McCuaig of Schreiber, and, Mr. and Mrs. Del. Weberg of Terrace Bay, were in Thunder Bay on Saturday to attend the 25th wedding anniversary party honouring Mr. and Mrs. N.J. Jolicoeur, arranged in their own home by their daughters Lynn, Debbie, and Tracy. The money gift from relations and friends was presented in a novel way, placed in ballons which had to opened with pins by Mr. and Mrs. Joliceour, when they were immediately showered with both bills and confetti! Miss Angela Martinsen, Regional Represen- tative, New Horizions Program, was in Schrei- ber this week to confer with the Directors of the Chimo Club, discussing and advising them on possible grants available to the new club. ROSSPORT TOWN TOPICS Mr. and Mrs. R.T. Kenney have arrived home after spending the winter in Mexico and Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Ray were visitors with relatives in Nipigon during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon King of Marmora, Ont. are visiting Mrs. Anne Todesco. Weekend vis- itors with Mrs. Todesco were Mr. and Mrs. Ar- thur Douglas and family of Beardmore. Rev. Father Hyrchenuk of Beardmore said Mass at Pays Plat Mission, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Legault were Thunder Bay visitors over the weekend. Mrs. Cecilia Somers who has been visiting Mrs. Todesco the past three weeks left Friday for her home in Espanola. Mrs. Eugene Gerow entertained the St. Ber- chman's Altar Society members Thursday even- ing when they held their regular montly meet- ing. She welcomed the members and one guest, Mrs. Somers. Mrs. Herb Legault read the min- utes and correspondence and Mrs. Todesco pre- sented the financial statement. Opening and closing exercises were conducted by Mrs. Ger- ow. Material was passed out for sewing and a report heard on articles on hand for the Penny Auction. New gold plated candle hold- ers for the altar were presented by Mr. Tes- tori, Mrs. Gerow and Mrs. Wachtler. Anglo-Saxon in descent, Brian is a healthy, active boy with dark eyes, brown hair and olive skin glowing with healthy color. He has a pleasant personality and is generally co-operative. In a foster home where there are six boys, Brian has had plenty of opportunity to learn the give and take necessary to family living. Brian attends special classes for non-academically minded students. His favorite school subjects are crafts (he enjoys working with his hands) and gym. Though not a scholar, he has a good deal of general knowledge and is especially interested in space and electronics. Camp and cottage life appeal to Brian, both summer and winter. He is enthusiastic about most kinds of outdoor activities -- swimming, boating, fishing and snowmobiling. Brian needs a mother and father who will give him love and a feeling of belonging and who will be able to encourage him to become independent while not pressuring him for academic achievement.
