APRIL 4, I973 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 7 Ringette - cont'd ...... Many thanks go to the mothers of the players for providing sandwiches, Mrs. S. Dakin for co-ordinating the lunch, and to Shaw's Bread Company and Costa's Foodmarket for donating treats and pop. Many thanks to T. Greendoow, N. Bouchard, D. Desaulniers, T. Ramsay, P. Coupal, D. Gauthier for referring the games; to J. Pytyck, T. Kostiuk, D. Legault and J. Landry for acting as officials and to W. Schritt and D. Mallais for coaching the girls. It is hoped that next year an exec- utive may be formed to operate a Ring- ette League for the girls. The game of Ringette is a fast-growing sport and it should be in our favour to continue this programme from year to year for the girls. Anyone Interested in an Art Course? Beginners and/or Advanced: The Recreation Office was recently informed by Mr. John Ebbs of Confeder- ation College that they would be inter- ested in bringing Mrs. Helen Strickland to do instruction in either a beginners or an advanced course, or both. She would do the instruction on Monday evenings and each session would last three hours and continue for 8 to I0 weeks. In order for our community to take advantage of this opportunity, we re- quire an indication of interest of IO people for the course. The course fee would be $20.00 and materials would be 'available from Mrs. Strickland at cost price. Let us know if you are interested by calling the Recreation Office at 3542 by this Friday, April 6th. This will not be regarded as an official regis- tration for the course. For example, if we have I0 or more interested per- sons in taking the course, Mr. John Ebbs from Confederation College will come to Terrace Bay to officially take .registrations on a first-come first- served basis. If you are interested - call.
