PAGE 12 TERRACE BAY NEWS FEBRUARY 28, 1973 RECREATION NEWS Hockey Action This Week: The Terrace Bay Minor Hockey represenative teams are now midway through their semi-final playoffs. At the time of this write-up, both the Midgets and Bantams are scheduled to play their second game on February 26th and 28th respectively. A Terrace Bay win would force a third and final game, which would be played this coming weekend in Schreiber. Our Minor Peewees defeated Marathon 2-0 this past week- end and will play their second game this Sat- urday, March 3rd, at I2:30 at the Terrace Bay arena. The third game, if necessary, will be played on Sunday, March 4th, at the Terrace Bay arena at I2:30 p.m. Unfortunately, our Major Peewees were de- feated by Manitouwadge two games straight and are now out of the playoffs. It is hoped that a number of exhibition games will be arranged during the month of March. The Terrace Bay Intermediate Club, by virtue of finishing in first place, will host Heron Bay at the Terrace Bay arena this coming Friday, March 2nd. Game time 8:30 p.m. Cirls' Ringette: The Recreation Office is presently trying to make arrangements to have exhibition games with Red Rock. At this point, the girls in- volved are in need of transportation so if Heron Bay vs Terrace Bay. All members of the Terrace Bay Recreation Association are reminded that the I972 discs are no longer acceptable. If you want to take advantage of the lower admission charges as well as participate in programmes, ke sure to pick up your disc at the Recreation Office immediately. Yoga Course: The Recreation Office is still accepting names of those persons interested inipartici- pating in a Yoga course. A total of twelve people have shown an interest at this point. The course will be approximately I2 weeks in length with one session being held each week. Approximate cost for the course will ke $25.00 per registrant. If you are interested, call the Recreation Office at 3542. COMING EVENTS Friday, March ond - Intermediate Hockey, GOLF CLUB offers Winter GOLF The Aguasabon Golf Club is offering for Golfers and beginners, to tune-up their in the coming month for when the course this summer. You will be able to swing freely in the of the Terrace Bay Campus High School. EVERYONE IS WELCOME All golfers are asked to bring their own clubs and clubs will] be supplied to those without any. The V.T.R. Equipment is able to take pictures of your swing enabling you, probably for the first time to see exactly what your swing looks like The Winter Golf Session will begin Monday, March 5th at 8:30 p.m. at the Terrace Bay Campus and will contin- ue for the following five Nonday {7 We urge everyone to come especially none-golfers.
