INSTALATION CEREMONIES The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 223, Terrace Bay will hold their Instalation Ceromonies on Friday December 10th at 7 p.m. The Legion General Meeting will be held Sunday, December 11, at 7:30 p.m. offered to be available if the Township had need of them, if an when the heating conversion takes place in the Recreation Centre. A letter was read from Frank Anderson, Chairman of the McCausland Hospital, Board of Governors, pointing out that a forecast of a deficit for 1972 of some $11,000 is apparent, and with the Board of Governors not having the borrowing powers, a request for a financial assistance from the Municipalities of Terrace Bay and Schreiber was made. This request will be submitted to the new Council for prompt attention in 1973. A letter from a local resident was received request- ing consideration for subsidy for an all electric home built prior to the establishment of the policy to sub- sidize new all electric homes. This particular home, being the first Gold Meda- Ilion home in Terrace Bay, was built before 1968, when these policies were instituted. No retro-active authorization was contained in the policy, and so the request must be turned down. There were 11 other homes built in the same position, without the subsidy. Applications for the job of snow removal on Simcoe Plaza were reviewed, and will be discussed by the Public Works Department, and a person qualified engaged by them.
