ROBBED OF VICTORY The Terrace Bay "Superiors" found themselves robb- ed of victory in the last few minutes of the third period Sunday in Manitouwadge . These games between Terrace Bay and Manitouwadge are proving to be very tense, fast and exciting as the teams seem fo be very evenly matched. One inferest= ing aspect of their last bout was that there were more total goals than total penalities. The "Copper Kings" edged out the Superiors 3-2 . There were only four penalties in the game, two fo each team. Terrace Bay fans will have another opportunity to see these teams in action this Sunday. As usual, this promises to be another great game as the locals are looking for their first victory over the visitors after tieing them 6-6 the last home game. For a new team in this league, the "Superiors" are beginning to show their potential very early and many observers continue fo predict an upset by our boys before this season ends. Terrace Bay opening the scoring in the first period with a goal by Pat Heenan from Hamilton and Schrift. The "Copper Kings" evened the score in the second to make it 1-1 going into the last period. The Superiors second goal came from the stick of a new team member, Jack O'Javee who is not at all unknown in Terrace Bay hockey. Jack promises fo be a strong asset to this club. Again, the assist came from Rick Hamilton. The Copper Kings down 1 goal came back strongly to first tie the game and then in the last remaining minutes to beat net-minder Richard Petrus to score the winner. 3 These games with Manitouwadge are going to bring back some great hockey to the local area. Make a point of being on hand Sunday to see the Superiors host the Copper Kings for the return match. Hopefully, with the home-ice advantage, Terrace Bay will improve their score.
