Fellow Citizens: As a result of pressure of friends and supporters, | have decided to allow my name fo stand for another term as your Reeve. No man can hope to realize all his dreams and aspirations, yet | look on my nine years in officenwith a large degree of satisfaction. These have been exciting and gratifying years which Schreiber has undergone growth and development. Thanks to you, who in your wisdom have given me good solid councillors to work with. Let us pause and reflect on a few of the Programmes over the years. A new Underpass at a cost of $442,000. Our share was $39,000. Artificial Ice Plant and a new Roof on our Arena. The cost was $45 ,375. Our share was $12,000, Participation in Pinewood Court, Thunder Bay Home for the Aged, which 10 Schreiber citizens are now residing. A new Town garage built at a cost of $9,000. No debentures were issued. A new Fire Truck at a cost of $28,000, Paid for in cash. Highway lights at a cost of $17,000. Half paid by grants from Department of Highways and half by the Schreiber Hydro under street lighting. We are in good financial condition as our total debenture debt is only $3,000 at the end of 1972. Your Council has worked hard in bbtaining a new Post Office and a new Bank. Both these projects are now started. Our Sewerage system should be started in the Spring and thoughts should be given now, to new paving of our streets with proper grading for water run off. Our Assessment has increased by $172,623, and now stands at this date $2,047,418. If you have the confidence then | have the time. Your support will be appreciated. F. V.
