PAGE 18 TERRACE BAY NEWS NOVEMBER 1, 1972 SUPERIOR VOICE NSSSAA CROSS COUNTRY MEET On Monday, October 23rd, schools from Chapleau, Geraldton, Hornpayne, Manitouwadge, Marathon, Nip-Rock, Schreiber-Terrace Bay and Wawa met at the Schreiber Campus of the Lake Superior High School to compete in the NSSSAA Cross Country Championship. The results were as follows: Midget Girls-Lou Ann Doyle, Chapleau High School; Junior Girls- Tara Greenwood, Lake Superior High School; Senior Girls-Wanda Gorman, Lake Superior High School. Midget boys-David Doig, Chapleau High School; Junior Boys-Paul Banning, Nip-Rock High School; Senior boys-Lonnie Connel ley, Lake Superior High School , Chapleau High School won the junior and senior girls team championships and the junior boys team championships, Geraldton High School won the senior boys team championship. Congratulations are extended to all participants in a very successful meet. Thanks is extended to those students of Lake Superior High School who provided the lunch for the visiting teams. NSSSAA VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT The NSSSAA Girls Volleyball Tournament was held in Marathon during the past weekend. The Lake Superior High School Junior and Senior teams both placed second in the competition. Manitouwadge High School was the winner in both the Senior and Junior Division. Congratulations is extended to the Lake Superior High School teams for their well played games.
