BAILEY A farewell tea in honour of Dorothy Bailey who is moving to Thunder Bay with her family, was held at the Terrace Bay Campus. Members of the Lake Superior Board and the Lake Superior High School Faculty were invited to attend. Mrs. Bailey began working as secretary at the Schreiber Campus in 1968 and transfarred to the Terrace Bay Campus in the fall of 1971. Mr. Forgues thanked Mrs. Bailey for her excellent service and dedication during the past years. He expressed regret at seeing her leave, and wished her happiness in her new home. On behalf of the Lake Superior High School Staff Mr. Forgues presented her with a picture of Hydro Hill painted by Mrs. Middaugh. Thanks is expressed to Mrs. Lewycky and her students who prepared the delicious lunch. LEGION AUXILIARY RESUME MEETIN GS The Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 223, Terrace Bay held their September meet- ing chaired by First Vice-President Mrs. G. Churney Mrs. B. Mercier read the minutes. Various other reports were submitted from different conveners who had undertaken several projects dur- ing the summer months. Burns volunteered to serve on the nominating committee. Halloween cos- tume party will be held on the final Saturday in October. Social convener Mrs. C. Daley advised the mem- bers that they will be contacted as Friday night lunches will commence shortly. President, Mrs. D. Gunter presented Mrs. Sopel with a baby cup for her infant daughter along with the members good wishes. A vivacious young mem- ber was initiated to the auxiliary, Miss Paulette Coupal, and a transferred member from Maniouwadge Mrs. M. Uhnatko was favourably received. Lunch was served by Mrs. P. Coupal, Mrs. W. Mall ais and Mrs. N. West. Mrs. G. Churney won the pot of gold. Highlight of the evening, when six ladies, whose curiosity got the best of them, purchased six motor cycles at 25¢ a piece. -- "Hold it right there, Prince."
