Born and education in | Toronto, Ontario, Miss | Butler graduated from the . school of Nursing Hospital or Sick Children, Toronto She holds a certificate in Public Health Nursing from the University of Western Ontario and one in Administration and Supervision in Public Health Nursing, with a specialty in mental hygiene from the University of Toronto. Miss Butler was employed by the former Fort William and District Health Unit for nine years as both a public health nurse and later assistant supervisor. She obtained her B.Sc. N. at Lakehead University and for the past five years has been a lecturer there in public health nursing. She has a very active record of participation in the Registered Nursing Association of Ontario at local, district, and provincial level'. She is the past president of the R.N.A ,O. Profess- ional Nurses Association and a past member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Nurses Association ROSSPORT Mr. and Mrs. Leon Nicol of Thunder Bay spent the weekend on the island bearing their name.
