The Board approved the housing of the Caroline McMorland School for Trainable Retarded in two rooms in the Marathon High School with target date of no later than January Ist, 1972, and necessary alterations to be carried out at an estimated cost of no more than $20,000.00. The following appointments were made: Mrs. E. Babe, fo Manitouwadge Public School; Miss Nancie Spillane to Schreiber Public School; David F. Stephenson fo Lake Superior High School and Miss Joscelyn Shaw, Library Technician, to Lake Super- ior High School . The Board approved the working drawings and specifications for the heating plant conversion at the Lake Superior High School, Terrace Bay Campus, as prepared by W.L. Wardrop and Associates Ltd. They also approved the sketch plans dated July 5, 1972, for the addition and alterations to the Terrace Bay Public School, prepared by Graham- Bacon Architects. The following policy regarding the shared use of facilities in Terrace Bay was approved: Use of the Terrace Bay Campus facilities by the Terrace Bay Recreation Department and use of the Terrace Bay Recreation facilities by school groups will be on a reciprocal use basis. Where necessary, charges will be incurred by the user group if there is damage to facilities and/or equipment results, and if custodial service is required. Facilities available to the Recreation Department: Gymnasium and all appropriate equipment, various classrooms which would assist in conducting special community workshops, clinics and programs (i.e., art room, home economics room, etc.) Terrace Bay Recreation Department must provide supervision satis= factory to the Principal - the principal reserving the right to cancel the use of facilities and equipment if, | in his opinion, there is misuse or damage . Facilities available to the School Groups: Arena and all appropriate equipment, curling rink (Subject to further consideration by the local Curling Club who lease the facilities), meeting rooms, swim pool, tennis courts. School groups must provide super- vision satisfactory to the Recreation Co-Ordinator, who reserves the right to cancel the use, if in his opinion, misuse or damage occurs. \ The athletic field would be scheduled by the Terrace Bay Campus office during the school year, with Recreation office scheduling the field during evenings, weekends and summer months . All bookings for Terrace Bay campus facilities to be made through the campus office, and all bookings | for Recreation facilities to be made through Recrea- tion office. continued page 3
