They were accompanied by her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Legault. Mrs. W. Cooke of Liverpool, England and Mrs. I. Dawson of Thunder Bay are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Chas Henderson. Beth Hillary, Allan Speed and Bob Kyryluk of Thunder Bay are here this week with their boat that is wench equiped to obtain specimens of the lake bottom for study at Lakehead University under Professor Mothersill. Don Barber and family of Toronto holidayed here the past week with the J. Ushers aboard their sailboat "Skylark". The Rossport Fish Derby is well on its eight weeks course with Labbatts Brewery offering a small trophy once a week for the largest fish taken in these waters. Winners so fare this year were: = Arthur Joseph of Thunder Bay with trout weighing 6 pounds 2 1/3 oz.; James Hunchell of Rochester, Mich. trout weighting 5 1/2 pounds; Marvin Osmar of Terrace Bay, trout weighing 5 1/2 pounds; Ed LaSalle of Auora, Ont. trout weighting 5 pounds 7 oz. Mr. and Mrs. Jos Valliquette of Deep River, Ont. were in the village this week renewing acquaintances enroute to Thunder Bay. George Watts of London, Ont. arrived Friday to visit his sister Mrs. Felix Legault and her husband. Camillo Todesco visited his uncle Chas. Todesco enroute from Manitouwadge to Thunder Bay. ALFARANO-SPEZIALE VOWS EXCHANGED The altar in Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church, Schreiber was banked with white and yellow shasta daisies on July 8th for the wedding of Rosemary Speziale, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Speziale, Schreiber and Mr. Cosmo Alfarano, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Alfarano of Sudbury. The double ring ceremony was solemnized by Rev. A. Greengrass. Miss Brenda Cebrario was organist and Giovanni Cebrario soloist. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was gowned in faille satin, the long semi full skirt softly gathered to the Empire waist. The front of the skirt was trimmed with appliques of Alencon lace and edged at the hemline with a gathered flounce, and trimmed above this with picot eyelet lace woven through with white satin ribbon. The fitted lace bod- with picot lace. The long full sleeves were gathered into deep fitted cuffs trimmed with picot lace. The back of the gown was complemented with a detach- able train edged with gathered flounce and appliques of Alencon lace, and fastened to the waist. Her shoulder length veil was held by a white satin rose and she carried a cascade of red roses. The bride had six attendants: Mrs. Diane Alfarano sister-in-law of the groom, as matron of honor, Miss Maria Veneziano, cousin of the bride, Miss Sylvia Speziale, sister of the bride and Miss Rosann Speziale cousin of the bride as bridesmaids; Lucianna Trichilo cousin of the bride, as flower girl and Joseph Spezial nephew of the groom, as ring bearer. The bridesmaids and flower girl were gowned alike in long pink floral chiffon, with empire waistline, accented with pink velvet ribbon, long full sleeves with ruffled cuffs, deep ruffesl at the hemline, de- signed and made by the bride's aunt, Mrs. Carmela Veneziano. They wore clusters of pink roses with Lily of the Valley in their hair and carried lovely pompom bouquets of white mums held by pink velvet finger ribbons. Nick Alfarano was best man, with Joe Alfarano, Peter Alfarano (brothers of the groom) and Joseph Speziale (brother of the bride) as ushers. For the reception in the Moose Hall the bride's mother chose a long gown of pink nylon crepe inter= woven with silver, white accessories, and white rose corsage. The groom's mother also wore a formal gown of turquoise nylon crepe with sleeves and bodice of cotton lace, with white accessories and corsage of red roses. The guest book was in charge of Miss Maria Diano, cousin of the bride. Mrs. Freda Duggan was dining room hostess and the toast to the bride was proposed by Frank Diano, her uncle, and to the bridesmaids by Nick Alfarano, the best man. For their wedding trip to Niagara Falls the bride donned a white crimplene suit with a bubble knit top, white jacket, ond corsage of sweetheart roses. They will reside at 50 Demorest St. Sudbury, Ont. = Prior to their marriage the bride was entertained at a party attended by her classmates, arranged by Mrs. Gladys Hamilton and Joyce and Janice Cluett; at a shower in the Catholic Parish centre arranged by Maria Veneziano, Rosann, Sylvia, Rosa and Sue Speziale and Carmela Veneziano; the groom was en= tertained at a stag party in the Schreiber Curling rink hosted by Joseph Speziale, Peter Crupi and | Cosimo Diano; and both at 'stag-and-doe' party ice had high neckline with set-in bond collar tri mmed | arranged by Mr. and Mrs. N. Alfarano in Sudbury.
