PAGE 4 TERRACE BAY NEWS APRIL 6, 1972 (cont'd from page 3...Ringette) Terrace Bay girls. At the time of this write-up, resultd were not available but will be published in next week's News. The Recreation Office would sincerely like to thank Lise Bougie, Rosalind Kenney and Sister Paulette for assisting with the league this year, and Maurice Doz- ois for the assistance that he has been able to give us in terms of sweaters and equipment. Ringette is continuing to be a popular sport for girls and perhaps next year we can take a look at forming an executive body to be responsible for Ring- efte. SPRING PROGRAMMES The next month or two is considered to be a good time of the year for special courses or workshops that are desired by the people ofthe community. . The Recreation Office reminds you that if you have any suggestions, questions or concerns about various courses or workshops, be sure to get in touch with us at 3542. We will do as much as we can to assist you in getting started, so if you have any ideas, let's hear about them. For example, very shortly the Recreation Office will again be holding a special meeting for those who originally registered for the Personal Development Course for girls that was advertised last fall. Instruc- tors were not available last fall so the programme was attempted again in January of this year. Girls who signed up for the course found that they were involvec in other winter programmes and consequently the Recreation Office decided to attempt the Personal Development Course in April as this would be a better time for the girls involved and the instructors would be available to travel from Thunder Bay, More infor- mation will appear in future issues of the News. Another example relates to the Ceramics Course that the Recreation Department offered in January. Hopefully, more information will be available by next week. If you have any ideas, suggestions or concerns, call us at 3542. COMING EVENTS April 6,7,8,9th-Men's Open Bonspiel, Terrace Bay Curling Club Sat.
