PATRICK'S TEA The regular montly meeting of the Ladies Auxil- iary to the Community Church held on Monday evening, opened with the worship service held in the Sanctuary.Eollowing the theme of studying the stained glass windows, Mrs. Joanne Peuhkurinen 'chose Holman Hunt's "The Light of the World", read- ing the scripture and telling the story behing the window . A hymn was sung with Mrs. Ellen Hodgkiss at the organ. Retiring to the church hall for the business part of the meeting, President Mrs. G. Soughton opened with a short prayer, and a word of welcome to all the ladies. Mrs. B. Wise, acting secretary, read the minutes and correspondence, including a letter from the Official Board, thanking the auxiliary for the recent donation of $1,000.00 Mrs. Judy Mercer read the treasurer's report. Mrs. Soughton gave a vote of thanks to the recent Wint- er Carnival Parade committee, headed by Mrs. M. Gander and Mrs. H. Brooks, for their excellent float entered in the Carnival Parade. The president also expressed the thanks of the auxiliary to Mrs. Lil Harris, who convened the recent very successful Boy Scout Father and Son Banquet, and to those who assisted her. Mrs. D. Thompson, program convenor, announced that Reverend McKague would be the guest speaker at the April meeting, bringing an Easter message. The Altar committee, Mrs. Gander and Mrs. Rop- chan, were commended for the attractive display of spring flowers on the altar on Sunday morning. ( continued on page 4)
