The Subjects dealt with by the various speakers co- ncerned laws governing snow machines, the Motorized Vehicle Act, Insurance Coverage (Provincial), of snow machines, Fish and Game Laws, and the Crimin- al Code (Federal), with Mrs. Rumme ry speaking on First Aid methods. Several films on the operation of snow machines, and survival were shown. Keith Scott added a display of motor-skis, Honda Mini-bikes, Evenrude Outboard motors, and clothing for out door sports. EE Photo shows speakers attending, with Don Beno as host, O.P.P. Bill Heindrich, Arthur Gilbert, Corp R. Essas, Harold Kodila, Ben Lapenski, Don Beno, and Constable Don Anderson. MIN McCUAIG BONSPIEL The prizes won in the Min McCuaig open bonspiel were excellent and in addition were draw prizes won by Billie Weaver, Brenda Harper, Kay and George Riley, who also won the Chinese dinner. Larry Fraser won the grocery hamper. Ivan Cocks, Dixie Winters, Don Winters, and Judy Cocks, the rink from Thunder Bay were awarded the prize for coming the most miles to attend. There were rinks in for the biggest end doo. "Muggs McCuaig drew the winning ticket, for Doug Moores Bill Weaver's rink received the 'first knocked out rink prize. C.P.T.A. MEETING Sister Marvel, principal, at the Catholic Parent Teachers' Association meeting, announced that Open House will be held on March 8, during Educ- ation week, in all the schools in town = Separate, Public, and High School. During the day parents and others interested are invited to observe in the classrooms while the students are at work. Report cards will be sent out March 17, and par- ent-teacher interviews will be arranged at the end of the winter break. Sister Carol and Mrs. McNally, of the staff, presented an interesting program on the use of TV in education. Sister Carol described its value and many uses and Mrs. McNally used a video tape "Community of Shapes-the Rectangle Family" simulated grade one class, teaching a lesson, which was most interesting. Edmond Borutksi presided for the meeting, with Mrs. Lecette Chicoine as secretary and Mrs. Beulah Speziale the treasurer. y PROGRESSIVE CONSERVATIVE MEETING J.P. Mulligan was elected president of the local association of the Progressive Conservatives, at their meeting on March3.
