At this time, Kimberly - Clark will hand over the hos- pital to the Board of Governors at absolutely no cost. Mr. Ferrier introduced Dr. Adey, Chief - of - Medical Staff, who gave a comprehensive report on the needs, and shortcomings of the present hospital , and expressed some of the hopes and plans for improv- ing it. Dr. Adey admitted that the hospital had served the people fo the area well for a number of years, but felt that it needed to be modernized and up-dated. Frank Anderson presented a drawing of the present hospital showing the amount of land that has been giv- en to them by Kimberly = Clark, for the purposes of extension and improvement of the grounds. He stated that the 21-bed hospital was in need of a new heat- ing system and must be brought up to standards set by the Fire Marshal's office. Don Beno was the next speaker, and he talked on the operation, administration, and maintenance costs He explained about Federal-Provincial and Northern (continued on page 8)
