We hope as many people as possible will turn out to witness what should be a "dazzling" spectacle at the Ski Hill Sunday night Feb. 13th. The schedule of events will be as follows: - 6:30 p.m. - Novelty Races 7:30 p.m. = Slalom Races 8:45 p.m. - Torchlite Parade, Community Bonfire, and Carnival Closing Ceremonies. The Public is of course welcome inside our chalet. Food will be available at our chalet canteen and at the bottom of the hill for cooking around the bonfire. All food will be moderately priced. The Terrace Bay Band will be on hand to serenade everyone during the Bonfire. Reminder to Skiers - Friday night skiing, Saturday lessons, race league and afternoon skiing will be held as usual but there will be NO AFTERNOON SKIING ON SUNDAY FEB. 13th. due to carnival preparations Have you signed up for the Winter Carnival skiing events? The cross-country race starts at 10:30 a.m. Registration for this race will start at 9 a.m. at the Legion Hall and move: to the river for the start at 10:30 a.m. The finish line is alongside the Legion Hall. There will be four events in the track races which start at 2:30 p.m. The Legion, Ladies Auxiliary will have a hot lunch available at the Legion Hall starting at 12 noon. Hot food and pop will be available at 12 noon also at the Masonic hall so that adults with their children will have some refreshments and an oppor- tunity to get warmed up. So folks come out with the family and enjoy the snow machine races on Feb. 12th. - See page 18 for cross country map.
