PLANNING WINTER CARNIVAL: The Super Student Council held a meeting at Terrace Bay Campus on January 24. The main issue of the meeting was the planning for the forthcoming Winter Carnival which is expected to be held dur- ing February. Joint events will be held on both campuses, with activities taking place throughout the entire week. A king and queen will be crowned on Carnival Day to represent Lake Superior High School . Exam week is from January 31 to February 4, and things are rather quiet as students are busy studying for those detestable exams. "lt would be nice if the system of examinations was abolished in all levels of education, except for those students who actually enjoy writing exams", say some of the students. The colours black and gold, which had been the original selection as the new colours for Lake . Superior High School, cannot be used for the new school since there is another organization in the area with the same colours. There will also be a contest for a new school crest; the students will be given more infor- mation about this at a later date. BOARD MEETING = cont'd from page 9 Y.T.
