Receiving with the bride were her mother, Mrs Wil | iam Paradis, Mrs . John Mikus, her mot her- in-law, and Jewell Paradis, her sister. Tea was poured by Mesdames Charlie Pearson, Stanley Kusik J.G. Wiznuk and Tom Turner. Servitors were Misses Karen and Debbie Lidkea, Linda Comeau, Loreen Kusik, Monica Frommann, Jackie Zaborski, Mrs. Danny Riley and Mrs. Paul Gaut hier. Mesdames Ken Davis, Charlie Holmes, Con. Duggan, Hobden Spikula, and Lloyd Small replen- ished. Janice Paradis was in charge of the guest book and Jane Bailey and Mrs. Michael Cosgrove opened the many lovely gifts. HOME AND SCHOOL MEETING Mrs. Bonnie Dye presided for the January meet- ing of the Public School Home and School Assoc ., with minutes of the last meeting and treasurer's report, qpproved as read by Mrs. Aletha Morris and Mrs. Shirley Brown. Tom Quinton reported on the proposed trip for grade eight to Southern Ontario in early summer which will include visits to Walter's Falls, a typical farming community, Kitchener and Waterloo, where there is a Mennonite settlement, Midland and other spofs of interest. After some discussion it was decided fo revert to the first Thursday of the month for meeting nights. lt was agreed to authorize the executive to purchase a placque or banner fo hang in the class- room which had the most attendance of parents of regular meetings of the Home and School . Following the business meeting W .A. Rodgers, and his wife, the former Roberta Jacobs of Schreiber showed slides taken by them in Tanzania, where Mr. Rodgers is a Wild Life Biologist in the Game Park Reserve. Their bush home, is a camp near Selous, when Mr. Rodgers is on duty, but their actual home is in Dar-es-Salaam, the city. The slides showed the wild animals in their natur- al habitat, the vegetation of the area, and some spectacular shots of the sky, as well as some infer= esting ones' of the narrow streets in the city. Part of Mr. Rodger's duties are to calculate the number of animals which may be killed by hunters, and this revenue helps to keep up the park. Mrs. | Rodgers had a few shots of native women, (while she was partially concealed in shrubbery) for some still believe that their souls may be captured if a picture is taken. Mrs. Rodgers had an interesting display of articles from the area. Mr. Rodgers will lecture in universities in Canada and the United States before they return home. Photo below = Mr. and Mrs. W.A .
