The Boy Scout Association will supervise and organise a Parade which will be held on Sunday. Time and route to be announced later. Terrace Bay Community Church Auxiliary are already plan- ning a float. Joe Kennedy announced that Terrace Bay Credit Union is thinking of entering a Carnival Queen contestant... The Student Council from Terrace Bay High School Cathy Graham and David Ramsay also indicated they will have a hopeful entered in the Carnival Queen Contest very soon, and that snow sculpture judging will be arranged. Replies to letters sent to all organizations and businesses have been slow in coming in. This is holding up the work of the program brochure where acknowledgement of donations etc., are to be made Students' Council members hope to distribute Carnival Buttons within the next couple of weeks. The committee would like your ideas. Contact any member or attend the next meeting - Monday, Janaury 17th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Recreation Centre. 7 RECREATION NEWS CERAMICS WORKSHOP POSTPONED The Ceramics Workshop as advertised by the Recreation Department will be postponed indefinit- ely as course instructor Mrs. M. Middaugh will not be available for a short period of time fo conduct the course. All those who registered will be contacted by the Recreation Office to inform them of the starting date of the Workshop DON'T FORGET TO PICK UP YOUR 1972 DISCS All persons who are members in good standing of the Terrace Bay Recreation Association are remind- ed that their discs are now available at the Recrea- tion Office. PLAN ON PICKING YOURS UP SOON. SEWING COURSE - REGISTER NOW The Recreation Office is now accepting names for the same type of sewing course that Mrs. Mc- Kague conducted in the Fall of 1971, and which will be conducted again starting the latter part of January, 1972. At the time of this write-up, the registration list was very close to its maximum number of 25. If you are interested in taking this course, be sure fo call the Recreation Office and leave your name immedi- ately. Registration fee for this 4-week course will be $3.00 and anyone taking the course should be a member of the Terrace Bay Recreation Association. JUNIOR BASKETBALL-BADMINTON PROGRAMME All those who had registered in the Junior Badmin- ton programme are reminded that the next session will be this Saturday, January 15th, at the Terrace Bay High School from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon. All those who registered for the Junior Basketball programme are reminded that the next session will be held on Saturday, January 22nd, from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon at the High School auditorium. Since this programme will continue for the next few weeks, an additive registration fee will be charged to all players. Players will be informed at their first session as to what the registration fee will be. RINGETTE ~ Coaches and referees have now been selected and regularly-scheduled games are being played at the arena on Saturday mornings as follows: = 2 = 10 a.m. PETITES: 10-11 a.m., JUNIORS. There are still some girls who registered for the Ringette programme that are not coming out for their games on Saturday morning. This makes it very difficult for the teams as they become short of players and sometimes must default their games. If you have registered for the programme, make sure that you attend your games and practise on time. Schedules are available at the Recreation Office. : The Recreation Office is pleased to announce that the following adults are assisting in the Ringette programme: Rosalind Kenney, Lise Bougie, Sister Paulette, Paul Dakin, Len Burns.
