The Irish Regi- ment and Bombardiers are tied for top place, each with 15 points. The Corvettes are next with 13 and the Cameron Highlands have 11. A very close race with only 4 points separating the first-and fourth place teams. Dot Coupal continues to bowl well and leads the ladies with a 208 average. Paul Coupal moved into first, place for the mens L high average with a 211. A. Daley tied Dot Coupal for the ladies high ingle with a 240. The Cameron Highlanders have the high single game, scratch, 1008. One more spare has been added to 'the list - M. Hammann. LEGION AUX. PRESENTS $1000. TO BRANCH The Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Leg- ion, Branch 223, Terrace Bay, held their November meeting in the Legion hall, with Mrs. P. Coupal presiding. Mrs. C. Mercier read the minutes of the previous meeting, and Mrs. W. Megraw gave the financial report. Mrs. Coupal thanked all the members who worked on the Armistice Day projects, which as always were a tremendous success. Miss Judy Zwaresh won the door prize at the tea. At the Armistice Day dinner, convened by Mrs. J. St. Louis and Mrs. H. Milks, President of the Aux- iliary, Mrs. P. Coupal, presented a cheque for $1000. to President of the Branch, Mr. Pat Jones. Mr. R. Runnion was the 'guest speaker at the well attended dinner held in the Masonic Hall. The Auxiliary received a letter from Comrade J. Wright, advising of the seminar to be held in Thunder Bay South on Nov. 27th. cont'd page 4...... -
