Township accounts passed for payment were: Township - 44,144.92; Hydro - 10,781.16; Library- 734.39; Recreation Committee = 9,340.03. Bill 38B was given third and final reading and passed. Councillor Bray commented on the vandalism in the Septic tank and lagoon area. Council is very concerned with the additional costs of purchasing steel signs and poles for the sewage lagoon area, and the re-sodding of the buried sewage flow line into the lagoon, due to damage caused by vandals. MALE CHOIR DELIGHTS AUDIENCE Music lovers in Terrace Bay had an opportunity to hear music at its best when the Fort William Male Choir sang in the High School Auditorium on Satur- day evening. Under the direction of Mr. Norman J. Kleven, with Mrs. Diane Crocker at the piano, the choir held its audience spellbound, right from its opening number to the last. The Ladies Auxiliary of the Community Church were indeed fortunate in being able to invite the Fort William Male Choir to visit Terrace Bay. The proceeds of the concert will go towards the Memorial Organ Fund. As with all worthwhile endeavours, many hours of planning and work into the success of this memorable evening. To various members of Kimberly-Clark for their co-operation, to the ladies who supplied a delicious dinner for the hungry choristers, to Jerry Dupas and Jon Ferguson for their help, to all who donated, sold tickets and helped in any way, a sincere thank you. PARENTS IGNORE MINOR HOCKEY MEETING An open meeting was held on Friday, October 15th to elect a new executive for the Schreiber Minor Hockey Association. Despite the fact that the meeting was advertised , it was attended by only nine people. Of these nine in attendance, only three have children participating in the minor hockey program.
