Two oil bids were received, and on the basis of it being the lowest tender, Shell Oil Company was awarded the contract for the heating season 1971-72. On the recommendation that we continue to use two cleaning ladies at Holy Angels School for three hours each night, five nights per week un- til further notice, secretary was instructed to ad- vertise for one cleaning lady due to the resignation of Mrs. Jean Tremblay. Operating expenses for the month of August in the amount of $9,982.91 were approved for pay- ment. Applications were read and accepted from the following teachers for supply work: Mrs. Joyce Bishop, Mrs. Doris Gerlach, Mrs. Linda Kruger, Mrs. Hartley McKay and Miss Muriel Nesbitt. Sister Carol, Sister Marvel and Mrs. L. Cormier will be attending the annual Christian Curriculum Development Conference which is to be held in Toronto in November. Our teachers will be attending the program of the Thunder Bay Teachers" Institute in Thunder Bay on October 22nd for Professional Development Day. Mr. Matys gave a resume of his activities since over his duties as academic administrator. Next meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednés- day, November 17th at Holy Angels School, Schreiber. SCHREIBER TOWN TOPICS Mrs. Art Kinnear and Mrs. Bill Farrell, of King- ston, Ont., are visiting their sister, Mrs. Bruce Simon. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Scott of Red Rock spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. George Scott. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Miller of Sault Ste. Marie spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Norman Bottomley. Mr. and Mrs. George Legault of Montreal are visiting Mr. and Mrs. U.D. Bryson and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bryson.
