SEPTEMBER 9, 1971 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 5 JOYCE BELLIVEAU WED IN TERRACE BAY Wedding vows between Joyce Belliveau and Rick Cavner were exchanged in a double ring ceremony at St. Martin of Tours Church on Monday, August 30th aot 8 p.m. Joyce is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Belliveau of Nackawic, N.B. and Rick is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Cavner of Thunder Bay. Father A. Greengrass officiated. Miss Cathy Melnyk was organist and Miss Lorraine Belliveau was the soloist. Joyce was gowned in a floer length white Jersey medallion lace over yellow taffeta featuring a round collar, long full sleeves, and high Empire waist line. A floppy white hat with yellow streamers completed her costume. She carried a single long stemmed white gladioli. Mrs. Sharon Lundberg, sister of the bride, was Matron of Honour, was gowned in a similar fashion to the bride. Her dress was Spring green Crystalette, and she wore a green floppy hat and white accessories She carried a single coral gladioli. Rick Weafer, of Thunder Bay was Best Man and Ronnie.Falzetta ushered. For a reception held at the home of the bride's aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Dakin, Mrs. Belliveau received, wearing a Periwinkle blue Fortrel afterngon dress and a blue Carnation corsage. Mrs. Cavner also received, wearing a pink Hot pant outfit, featuring long sheer sleeves and bead trim and a pink carnation corsage. The toast to the bride was given by Terry Koenig. For her going away outfit, Joyce donned a pale blue jersey knit dress with white accessories. They will reside in Thunder Bay. Out of town guests included = Mr. and Mrs. E. A shower was held in St. Martin's Church hall with hostesses Mrs. Josephine Comeau and Mrs. Rose Dakin. A stag for the groom was held at the home of Mr. Ray Theriault. HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY MEETS The Board of. Directos of the Terrace Bay Horti- cultural Society met Friday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Steen. : Show chairman, H. Landry and Junior Gardens chairman, A. Cadieux reported on the Annual Flower and Vegetable Show held on August 21st. Both the number of exhibitors and the number of individual entries dropped from the previous year, with 18 exhibitors in the Adult Section of the Show and 17 in the Junior Section. It was decided that several rules in both the senior and junior show lists should be clarified and that the deadline date for entries in the show will be prominently printed on the front page of next years show lists. Recommendations made by the judges were noted and will be filed for the 1972 show committee. The 1971 "Trillium Awards" for well landscaped front yards will go to M. Churney - 42 Pine Cresc., and M. Jaremy = 503 Lakeview Dr. in Terrace Bay and to F. Driscoll = 315 Main St. and J. Bryson = 407 Manitoba in Schreiber. These awards will be presented at the Annual Meeting to be held in the large meeting room of the Recreation Centre on Friday, November 19. The directors extend their thanks to the three judges, Mrs. W. Prinselaar and Mrs. S. Brown of Schreiber and Mr. J. Ferrier, Terrace Bay.
