TOWN TOPICS Recent visitors at the home of Annie and Sig Erickson were their daughter Janice and Tim Bond and grandchildren, Ellen, Eric and Karen, of Barrie, and son Fred Erickson, with Miss Dee Pierce, of Albany, N.Y. Anne and George Ropchan of Sault Ste. Marie, were weekend guests at the home of Cora and John Ropchan. Karen Lundberg is spending a week with her parents before returning to Toronto where she will attend York University. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Belliveau with Richard, Mark, Eileen and Peter spend a week in Terrace Bay .while they attended their daughter Joyce's wedding. Michael Chepelsky has enrolled at the Algonquin College, Ottawa. LADIES GOLF NEWS Winners of September 2nd Known Partner Tourna-- ment were Ina Adamo and Marg Phillips with runners up Marlene Hanley and Peggy Wellings. Over the past season the following ladies have broken 100 - Peggy Wellings, Julie Rattray, Ina Adamo, Jeannette Gunter, Jan Hall and lvy Pattison. Don't forget = Sept. 11th is the last day of Match Play. The golfing season is coming to a close with only two scheduled tournaments left. September 12th - Mixed = Moore's Trophy; September 18th - Low Net = Hiram Walker. RECREATION NEWS SWIM POOL CLOSED FOR SEASON The swim pool was closed for the season following last weekend's swim sessions. Since we have suffered a major breakdown to the equipment and have been operating on a temporary repair basis, this early closing has become necessary due to the difficulties encountered under these circumstances. SWIM TEST AWARDS Anyone who has not yet picked up their swim awards for July and August sessions may do so by contacting the Recreation Office. TENNIS A reminder to Tennis enthusiasts that two outdoor courts are still available for play and one indoor court at the Terrace Bay arena. Schedule for the Tennis court located in the arena is as follows: - Tuesdays and Thursdays - 8:00-10:30 p.m., Saturdays 6:00-10:00 p.m. and Sundays 6:00-8:30 p.m. continued page 3
