RECREATION BRIEFS YOUTH DANCE - MONDAY, AUGUST 23RD An 8 piece brass show called "SOUND INC OR-- PORATED" from Duluth, Minnesota, will be play- ing for a Youth Dance at the Terrace Bay High School Auditorium on Monday, August 23rd, start- ing at 9:00 p.m. Admission for this dance will be $1.50 per person. This admission price is consistent with prices being charged wherever "SOUND INCORPORATED" plays. All indications are that this band is ex- stremely talented and we are very fortunable to be able to bring in "SOUND INCORPORATED" at a low price. Why not plan to attend? RED CROSS AUGUST TESTS - AUGUST 27TH All swimmers taking Red Cross classes during the month of August are reminded that tests will take place on Friday, August 27th, starting at 10:00 a.m. Be sure to check with your instructor as to the exact time of your test. SINCE SOME SWIMMING CLASSES ARE PRE- TESTED AND TESTED LOCALLY THE DAY BEFORE THE RED CROSS EXAMS, EACH SWIMMER SHOULD DOUBLE-CHECK THE TIME AND DAY OF HIS OR HER SWIMMING TESTS. In addition to the above, our Swimming Pool staff as usual will be informing the swimmers as to their specific day and time of test. ROYAL LIFE TESTS - AUGUST 31ST A reminder to swimmers taking Royal Life classes that final tests will be held on Tuesday, August 31st at 1:00 p.m. NORTH SHORE SWIM MEET RESULTS The annual North Shore Swim Meet which was held in Terrace Bay this past Saturday was consider= ed to be an outstanding success, as indicated by swim team coaches and swimmers from out of town. The success of the Swim Meet was primarily due to the volunteer efforts of local people who assisted in the capacity of officials. cont'd page 8 .....
