PAGE 8 TERRACE BAY NEWS JULY 7,1971 CONNORS-DIMMERY VOWS EXCHANGED Ih ph a AE Photo by Dan's Studio St. Patrick's Cathedral, Thunder Bay, was the setting for the 2 p.m. June 19th double-ring wedding of Brenda Joyce Dimmery, daughter of Mrs. Mabel Dimmery and the late Clifford Dimmery, of 638 Kingsway, Thunder Bay F, and Carl Joseph Arthur Connors, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Connors of 22 Selkirk Ave., Terrace Bay, Ontario. Father G . Bourguignon officiated and organist was- Mrs. Connelly. Given in marriage by her uncle, Mr. Henry Dimm- ery, the bride wore a formal gown of white organza trimmed with rows of swiss lace and pink ribbon down the front and back panels and on the stand up collar and deep full length cuff sleeves. Her headdress of daisies and lilly of the valley held her bouffant tiered illusion viel. She wore a gold locket and chain which had been worn by her Grandmother, Mrs. Murray, at her wedding. She carried a colonial arrangement of pink sweetheart roses and white feathered carna- tions accented with baby's breath. Mation of Honour was Mrs. Pat Hamilton, sister of the bride, and bridesmaid, Mrs. Dan Rooney sister of the bride, and Miss Susan Dimmery, cousin of the bride. All wore similar formal gowns of dotted swiss in shades of pink, mauve, and yellow. The full sleeves and stand up collar were trimmed with white lace. They wore matching picture hats and carried colonial arrangements of white shasta daisies. Greg Johnston was best man and Dan Rooney and John Fortes ushered. At a Prince Arthur Hotel reception, groom's sister Mrs. Connie Hukkula, attended the guest book. Bride's uncle, Mr. Bill Dimmery, said Grace and also proposed the toast to the bride. Bride's mother wore a mauve crimplene dress with full sleeves and deep cuffs. She wore bone access ories and corsage of yellow sweetheart roses. Groom's mother chose a yellow fortrel lace dress and matching coat trimmed with yellow satin, white accessories and corsage of white feathered carnations The wedding cake was made and decorated by Mrs. Ida Krause, Schreiber. Leaving for a trip to New Brunswick, the bride wore a purple and white crimpknit pant suit with white accessories and rose corsage. The couple are residing at 108 Birch Bay, Thunder Bay S. The groom was honoured at a stag at Foresters Hall by Greg Johnston, his best man and friends. Out of town guests were Groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Burns and family, Mr. and Mrs. J. Beddard, Mr. and Mrs. Ed McAdam, Mrs. A. Pattison, all of Terrace Bay, Ont.; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dimmery and family, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Bolan and family, Mr. and Mrs: W. Smart, Bill Gellert, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Krause, Mrs. J. Winters, Shirley Winters, all of Schreiber, Ont.; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dimmery, Neepawa, Manitoba; Mr. and Mrs. H. Cottingham, Birtle, Man.; Mr. and Mrs. L. Landry and Lynn of Red Rock, Ont.; Mr. and Mrs. K. Vaillancourt, Ramsey, Ont.; Mike Chepelsky, Manitouwadge, Ont. Telegrams were read from friends from Terrace Bay and Montreal . LADIES GOLF NEWS Due to poor weather conditions not too many ladies were out for the June 29th Twilight.
