Mrs. Winnie Clemens read minutes and Mrs. Noma Fummerton gave the sick and visiting report. Miss Miller spoke on lodge procedure and promo- tion of true Rebekah-Oddfellowship within the Lodge. She was presented with a gift and corsage and than- ked the members for their hospitality, which also included a dinner prior to the meeting. The other guests also expressed their appreciation of the welcome extended to them. . Following the meeting a social hour was enjoyed with Mrs. Lil Harris' club serving lunch." Despite the drenching rain the crowd remained constant, reviewing its history, and recalling or attempting to, the many people who had lived in the three dwelling home. It was one of the first residence built in the town and, the only terrace, a common type dwelling in the British Isles, leading one to believe the builder may have come from there. The building on Scotia Street, almost opposite the post office, is the site the public is pressing to have the new post office erected on. An unexpectedly generous response was made by Schreiber to the appeal of the Schreiber-Terrace Bay Association for the Mentally Retarded, for toys forchildren in the Ontario Psychiatric Hospital .
