GUIDE NEWS During the months of February and March, the Guides were fortunate in having Miss Neldine West, of Charlotte's Beauty Spot give the girls tips on Good Grooming and Hair Care. Miss West cut and styled Cheryl Dejonghe's hair, and answered numerous questions on Good Groom- ing, a test that is required to be passed by the Guides. Also Miss Lorraine Dobush brought in her dog, Tawny Lass, for the "Friend to Animals Law". She paraded Tawny, and explained the training and judging to the Guides. They were delighted and enthrolled at the obedience shown by the dog. before so many people. The Guiders express their apprecia- tion to Mrs. Barbara Wise, Mrs. Thursa Thompson, Mrs. Edna Ramsay and Mrs. Irene Kettle for taking the Guides for Child Care and Home 1d place entries in the junior Nursing. Also thanks to Mrs. Jean Fisher, Mrs. Dorothy Coupal and Mr. Lorne McBride, who all hiked and made fires down at the Beach ' with the Guides, and Mrs. Mary Milks for her aid in sewing. The lead: ers are very grateful to all parents for | their support through the season so far. The Corvettes conti nue fo bowl well in the final weeks of the schedule. They did it again last Friday night taking eight points and first place in the league. ; The standings are as follows: = Corvettes = 98; Irish Regiment = 94; Bombardiers = 86; Cameron Highlanders = 73; Spitfires = 63. FASHION SHOW - APR. 17TH The Ladies Auxiliary of the Community Church, Terrace Bay will be holding a Luncheon Fashion Show on April 17th, at 12:15 noon in the church basement. Fashions from Moore's of Terrace Bay and tickets may be purchased from here as well as from the follow- ing ladies ~ Gwen Olsen, Marilyn Chisholm, Lil Harris, Pam Jones, Judy Mercer, Barb Wise. Limited numbers of tickets ladies so please any who wish to attend our fashion show should pick their tickets up soon to avoid disappoint- ment.
