They wore kneepads and one teacher even wore a helmet. The students played very well but the teachers | were much better. This game even had cheer leaders but they weren't heard at all because of the noise. The teachers won by a score of 3 to 0. The refer- ee was Rev. McKague. This was an exciting event and the teachers played a terrific game against the Students of Grades 7 and 8. Photo by M. Lundberg. Parents of New Year's Baby - cont'd from page 1 :... AN OPEN LETTER Wit! its dander up and bared fangs, growling with disapproval and anger, Terrace Bay last Saturday gave notice to the District Education Board that autocratic determinations involving drastic upheavals of our educational system will not be tolerated. The briefs submitted by Terrace Bay left no doubt that the sentiments as expressed and demonstrated permeate throughout the community. The local district director, the target and recipient of considerable criticism endeavoured with little success to extricate himself from the various charges directed at him. The antagonism displayed toward the director is unfortunate. This office should have the respect of the people and without it, the board is stripped of its dignity with adverse effect on its efficiency. Now equally important to the main issue is the restoration of dignity, respect and confidence in the District Education Board. Unfortunately this can only] by effectively achieved by resignations or replace- ments. continued page ? ....e...
