GERALDTON PLAYS BASKETBALL IN SCHREIBER On Friday, January 8th, Geraldton met in Sch- reiber for a couple of really exciting basketball games. Schreiber was the victor in both games. The Schreiber girls, with Carol Webb as top scorer, de- feated Geraldton with a score of 24 = 14. In the boy's game, Schreiber won with a score of 55 - 18. The cheerleaders did an excellent job of cheering their teams to victory. All teams played well and showed excellent sportsmanship. Pictures in the next First Picture = Joseph Angel's Harp Wills was the centre of attention as he en-| tertains the grade one class at a recent Christmas Party. Second Picture- Santa is a very popular person as he is pictured here talking to Gail Beauparlant. HOME DECORATING CONTEST The holiday season home decorating contest win=- ners were: - Ist prize = Walter Zaporazan; 2nd prize- Peter Doig; 3rd prize = Brian Birch. The Schreiber Commission would like to thank all those who participated in the Home Decorating Con- test and at the request of the judges list those who deserve honourable mention that came close to being a winner: = William Campbell, William Cook, Cycil Duffy, Jack McCouan, George Riley and George (Short) Scott. Fourteen members of the Schreiber Women's In- stitue attended their Christmas Party on January 5th, beginning with a Chicken Dinner in the Mayfair Hotel . They then went to to Mrs. Alvin Slater's home for a social evening. Continued on page 22.
