There are still a number of new discs that have to be picked up at the Recreation Office, so be sure to pick yours up as soon as possible. The new green and blue discs are now required to gain entry to various activities. Members are reminded that colours of discs are as follows: = Green - Recreation and Swim Pool mem- bership; Blue = Recreation Membership. Membership in the Terrace Bay Recreation Associa- tion is mandatory for all activities that are either sponsored or co-sponsored by the Recreation Depart- ment; therefore, having current discs in your posses- sion is a necessity. UPCOMING HOCKEY GAMES Minor Hockey - Saturday, January 16th - Man- itouwadge Minor Hockey teams vs Terrace Bay - 12:30 = Minor Peewees; 1:30 - Major Peewees; 3:00 Bantams; 4:30 - Midgets Junior Hockey - Sunday, January 17th - Gerald- ton vs Terrace Bay; Game time - 2 p.m. WINTER CARNIVAL Within the last few weeks, the Terrace Bay Youth Group has been trying to determine the interest of various groups and organizations in the community relative to the promotion of a Winter Carnival to be held this season. One meeting has already been held with a number of organizations and it appears that interest is very high. A second meeting will be held this coming THURSDAY, JANUARY 14TH, in the large meeting room of the Recreation Centre at 7:30 p.m. : ANY GROUPS OR ORGANIZATIONS INTEREST- ED IN ATTENDING THE ABOVE MEETING are asked to have a representative at this meeting. UPHOLSTERY WORKSHOP The Recreation Office will be accepting names of people interested in taking an Upholstery Workshop starting the first week in February. The Upholstery Workshop will definitely be held, as a local instruc- tor will be utilized. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN TAKING PART, SIMPLY CALL THE RECREATION OFFICE AND LEAVE YOUR NAME AND PHONE NUMBER BE- FORE FRIDAY, JANUARY 29TH. A general meeting will then be held for all regis- trants on Monday, January 25th, in the small meeting room of the Recreation Centre at 6:30 p.m., to discuss details of the Workshop such as registration fee, * length of workshop, etc. COMING EVENTS Saturday, January 16th - Minor Hockey Games - Manitouwadge vs Terrace Bay.
