Kettle In games before Christmas, the Junior Superiors won their second game of the season on December 19, by defeating Geraldton Goldminers 5-4 in a very close game. Trent Desaulniers led the Sups with 3 goals, with singles going to Capar and Daley. Boychuk had two for Geraldton with singles going to Piclak and Fukishima. In the Sunday game, the Goldminers took revenge for the defeat on Saturday, and handed the Sups an 8-5 beating. The game was tied 5-5 with about ten minutes to go, but the Sups couldn't keep up with the bustling Goldminers. Cont'd next column ... Fukishima and P. Larry Sitko scored the lone goal for the Sups. On Monday, December 28th, the Sups travelled to Manitouwadge and were again beaten 8-4. In their first start of the New Year on Sunday night, the visiting Manitouwadge Copper Kings drubbed the Sups 9-5. Mattson and Jochimski led the "Kings" with three goals each, with singles goir to Passi, Meaher and Powell.
