Left to Right - Jackie Sopel, Alice Yates and Betty Oksanen, RECREATION NEWS - by Jerry Dupas MEMBERSHIP DISCS NOW AVAILABLE As advertised in recent issues of the NEWS, Rec- reation and Swim Pool membership discs are now available for members at the Recreation Office. The Office will be open from 9 until 5 daily. Be sure to pick up your new discs as the old black and red discs will no longer be effective starting Monday, January 11th. Colours of new discs are as follows: Recreation - blue; Swim Pool - green. 4 These discs are effective for the membership year A 1971. If you have any questions regarding the new mem- bership discs, simply call the Recreation Office at 3542. SENIOR CITIZENS This past Monday, January 4th, the afternoon programme for Senior Citizens commenced. This ~ programme is geared primarily to provide a meeting place for the Senior Citizens of our community to meet and take part in a very casual programme. The programme will operate Monday to Friday weekly { from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Craft Room of the Recreation Centre. Cards, chess, checkers, etc., are provided by the Recreation Association . ART AND CRAFTS NEWSLETTERS & The Recreation Office has recently received the first official publications of the NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO ASSOCIATION FOR COMMUNITY CRAFTS and the NORTH SHORE CRAFTS NEWS- i LETTER. Game time is 2:00 P.M. GIRLS' RINGETTE Second half of the Ringette schedule started on Tuesday, January 5th. New schedules have been typed up and each Ringette player should have re- ceived her new schedule. The regular schedule for the season will end on Thursday, March 4th, with the playoffs starting on Tuesday, March 9th. We invite interested adults to come down and watch the girls in action. : ADULT BADMINTON RESUMES A reminder to members of the Adult Badminton Clu that regular sessions started on Tuesday, January 5th.
