DECEMBER 10, 1970 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 15 SCHREIBER DETACHMENT O.P.P. PRESS RELEASE On November 29, 1970, 12:10 a.m., the propie- tor of the Mayfair Hotel reported a disturbance in progress. On arrival the matter was settled without charges being prefered by the agrieved parties. On November 29, 1970, 6:25 p.m. a report of an assault was received from Pays Plat. The com- plainant was advised to contact the local Justice of Peace and prefer charges if she desired and we would execute the documents if they were issued by | the Justice of Peace. On November 30, 1970, 11:00 p.m., a fifteen year old juvenile was located, reported missing from Nipigon. On December 4, 1970, 8:15 p.m., Patrick Stan- ley Milks, age 18, of Schreiber was charged with Minor Consuming. On December 5, 1970 12:45 a.m., Curtis Martin, oge 16, was also charged with Minor Consuming. : On the traffic scene five property damage coll- isions occurred. Two of the collisions resulted in injuries fo two persons. Property damage totalled approximately $4,130.00. On November 29, 1970, 4:45 p.m., a vehicle went out of control five miles east of Terrace Bay, which was driven by Wilfred Gibson Robinson of Dryden. His wife received minor injuries. Tota property damage was approximately $675.00. Two other vehicles went out of control minutes later at the same location. The drivers were Donald Keith Mac- Intosh of Kitchener, Ontario and Edgar Peterson of Vinemount, Ontario. Peterson sustained slight injur- ies. Total property damage in this instant was approximately $2,800. On December 1, 1970, 9:35 a.m., a vehicle went out of control 1/2 mile east of Schreiber, which was driven by Dennis Patrick Argue of Vancouver, B.C. Total property damage was approximately $575.00. On December 1, 1970, 2:00 p.m., Lloyd Reiph of Schreiber reported that a vehicle backed into his car which was parked. Mr. Relph made « citizens arrest and Jean Guy Mercier of Schreiber was subsequently charged with Impaired Driving. We wish te commend Mr. Relph for taking this action - Assistance of this nature is greatly appreciated. we, On December 3, 1970, 8:30 p.m., Brian Conrad Lidkea, of Thunder Bay, reported that someone dam- aged the right side of his vehicle, while it was parked at 115 Columbia Street at Schreiber.
