NOVEMBER 12, 1970 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 15 SCHREIBER COURT NEWS The following were charged under the provision of the Highway Traffic Act:- Walter Eggenberger, Sec. 59(12), speed- ing, peid. $27.00; Bernard William Heyes, Sec, 8(6), no trail- er plate, paid $23.00; Marilyn MacMullin, Sec. 59(1)12), speeding, paid $21.00, : The following were charged under the provision of the Criminal Code of Canade:- Eddie Louis Comeau, Sec. 372(1)a), fined $25.00 or 1 week consec, Restitution $93.50 or 6 weeks for public mischief; Eddie Louis Comeau, Sec. 160(a)i), orea- ting a disturbance, fined $15.00 or 5 days consec. The following were charged under the provision of the Liquor Control Act:- Eddie Louis Comeau, Sec. 54(2), found in a public place under 21, fined $15.00 or 5 days consec.; Ivan Donald Johnson, Sec. 42(1), having liquor other than residence, fined $12.50. y ROSSPORT ST. BERCHMAN'S ALTAR SOCIETY Mrs. R.T. Kenney hosted the members of the St. Berchman's Altar Society Thursday evening for the November meeting. Nine members answered roll call with an article for the spring Penny Auction. The, president, Mrs. Eugene Gerow, chaired the meeting and led in the opening prayers. A two minute silence was held in observance of Remembrance Day. Mrs. Hubelit read the minutes and correspondence of the previous meeting. Mrs. Todesco presented the financial statement. The Bingo scheduled for the 13th ontinued next column ... was cancelled. Mrs. Kenney presented the Society with a stero- foam tree decorated with lights to be used next year for a draw. The members thought it was too late'in the season to draw up tickets to sell on it this year. Mrs. Hubelit had obtained quotations on the style of a tabernacle chosen by the members and was ad- vised to purchase same at once. The members de- cided to approach Peter Gerow to see if he would continue with the snow removal at the Church. The secretary was instructed to order material supplies to be sewn up for the spring sale. Mrs. W. Schelling invited the members to her home for the December meeting and Christmas party. There will be an ex- change of gifts. Mrs. Todesco gave a report on the October Parish Council meeting which was mostly repairs to the Schreiber Church. Following adjournment, prayers were recited for the deceased members of the parish. The program followed with a movie on the Kenny's winter spent in Mexico and a second film of the beautiful scenery locally. Mr. Kenney ran a com- mentary relative to the pictures shown.
