MARTIN'S CHURCH 4 St. Martin's of Tours was the setting for a fall wedding on October 3rd, when Elizabeth Gail Hayes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B.W. Hayes of Terrace Bay and Port Arthur, became the bride of Terrence George Singleton, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Singleton, of Schreiber. Father A. Gvora officiated. Soloist Cathy Stokes was assisted by organist Cathy Melnyk. The bride wore a gown of white organza over silk illusion and taffeta, styled with Empire waistline, Sabrina neek line and e full train falling from the shoulder line. The sheer sleeves, bodice and train featured French lace opplique, overlaid with irridescents. Her bouffant veil of silk : 11lusion was bordered in matching lace and she carried a fan bouquet of Orange ice and yellow Sweetheart roses. Her only Jewelry was an heirloom necklace of gold filigrie set with tiny pearls and piredots which belongs to her Grandmother, Mrs. R. Maher. The Maid of Honour, Meredith Coe, and bridesmaids, Linda Bayes and Diane Singleton and tiny flower girl Gerry Commisso were growned alike in fall coloured chiffon over taffeta. The gowns were styled with low square necklines, Empire waistlines and flowing Queen Anne sleeves. Fall colours were repeated in green, gold and rust velvet hair ties and velvet edged Colonial bouquets of Bronze Mums. At the reception held in the Masonic Hall, the bride's mother received wearing a coat and dress ensemble of puffed aqua and silver brocade with a corsage of cream carnations and 1ily of the valley. The groom's mother wore a purple orepe coat and dress, the Empire waist line marked with metohing lace bonding. Her corsage was of white carnations and Heather. Mr. J. Parkin proposed the toast to the bride. velvet mini-dress, the bodice of gold, green and cognac brocade velvet trimmed at neck line and wrists with multi- rows of gold lace. She wore matching shoes, a bag of cognac kid and a corsage of cream carnations. Prior to her wedding, she was entertained at a Commupity Shower in St. Martin's Parish Hall by members of the Terrace Bay Figure Skating Club, and at a trousseau tea, by her mother and grandmother. A stag was held for the grrom at the Schreiber Legion. A rehearsal party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Singleton, Schreiber. Out of town guests at the wedding included Mrs. M.R. Maher, grandmother of the bride, Mr. J. Parkins, Mrs. L.P. Dickson, Mr. and Mrs. R. Fournier, Mr. and Mrs. J. MoParland, Mr. and Mrs. Reg Sloan, all of Thunder Bay; Mrs. W. Silbern- agel, Hurkett; Lewrence Singleton, Tom Christie, Toronto; and Mrs. Fraser and Linda of Manitouwadge.
