TOWN TOPICS William Yaxley, grand master of the 1.0.0O.F. of Ontario was honored at an open social, evening when he paid his official visit to Schreiber Lodge #402. John Dejonghe was acting nobel grand for the occasion. Mr. Yaxley was accompanied by a large delegation from Thunder Bay headed by John Duncanson of Lodge 244. Following the Lodge meeting a social evening was enjoyed in the lower hall with Mr. Yaxley showing some films and lunch served later. Mrs. Yaxley accompanied her husband. Mrs. Gloria Moodie, the commentator and her professional models, made an outstanding success of the Schreiber Kinette Fashion Show. Particularly interested and appreciative were the local models who for many years had contributed to the show's success and this time relaxed and enjoyed it. Mrs. Dominic Figliomeni welcomed the audience and introduced Mrs. Moodie. The many numbers displayed were in the newest trends and exciting fall shades and were supplied by Zellar's County Fair, Thunder Bay. The door prize was won by Miss Edith Relph. Coffee and small cakes were served. Mrs. Alec Gordon and Mrs. Bob Cressman were chairmen of the event. ' Jim Bryson is home visiting his parents Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bryson, after receiving his discharge from the R.C.N. in Halifax. 'Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Jones of Ottawa spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Smith. Mrs. Bill Mullins has returned home after visiting in Toronto and other centres in Eastern Ontario with relations. Alex McCuaig of Don Mills, visited his mother Mrs. L.R. McCuaig over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Frank McCuaig of Capreol visited with A.B. McCuaig and other relations over the weekend. Mrs. A.W. Slater is in Eastern Ontario paying official visits to various Lodges in her office as war- den of the Rebekah Assembly of Ontario. Mrs. Pearl Rattray has returned home to Sudbury after visiting Mr. and Mrs. George Gordon. David Drake has returned from Toronto where he attended a meeting last week of the Youth and Rec- reation Association which is sponsored by the De- partment of Education.
