MID WEEK SFRVICE - 7.00 P.M. - WEDNESDAY LADIES GOLF NEWS TO MARRY OCTOBER 17 Mr.and Mrs. C.R.Cotton wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathy Jo, to Mr. Robert Wallwin, son of Mr.and Mrs. R.Wallwin of Terrace Bay. The marriage will take place in the Terrace Bay Community Church on October 17th. Mr .and Mrs.Edward S.Brown of Terrace Bay are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Joanne May, to Mr Edward David Silver, son of Mr .and Mrs. Burton Silver of Sydney, Nova Scotia. Mrs .Brown attended the wedding which took place at 4 p.m., September 5, 1970 in Edmonton, Alberta. Also attending was the Bride's brother W.E. (Teddy) Brown. While out west Mrs.Brown visited with friends and relatives in Edmonton and with Mr.and Mrs. Steve Severn in Vegreville, Alta. Mr .and Mrs.Gordon Dodge have returned from Dryden where they visited their dalghter Charmaine (Mrs. Bryan Durrance) and her family. While there they also visited former residents, Mr.and Mrs. A. R.Ostling. Peg Wellings came in with first low gross and J. Gunter 2nd low gross in the September 8th Twilight. M.Hanley had Ist Low Net and O.Chapman had 2nd Low Net. A.Adamo had the least putts. In spite of the cold weather the couples who took part in the Mixed Tournament held on September 13 for the Kolesar Trophy, all did very well. Marilyn and Kit Thomas are to be congratulated for turning in a fine 71 to win the trophy. Runners- up were Mr.and Mrs. Bill Hanley. High hole prizes went to Mrs.J.Mercier and C .Koski. Mr.and Mrs. C.Gorham won the low hole award and Mr.and Mrs. D .Bennitz were given prizes for being the most econ- omical golfers. We regret that photos are not available at this time but hope to have them for wext week's issue. Ten ladies entered the Hiram Walker Trophy Tour- nament held September 20th. Congratulations to Marilyn Thomas, winner of the trophy with a net of 73 for eighteen holes. P.Wellings was runner-up with 74 and A.Adamo had best gross on nine holes with 45. : Starting time for the remaining Twilights will be 5:30 p.m., instead of 6:00. Also, a little reminder that on Saturday, September 26th at 1:00 p.m., there will be a Novelty Tournament (9 holes). Come on out for the last scheduled tournament of the season
