Schreiber auxiliary to Pinewood Court, district home for the aged, will hold a Fall Tea and Bake Sale, in the town hall, on September 30 from 3-5 p.m. There will be a door prize and donations to the bake table will be gratefully accepted. Mr.and Mrs .Ralph Morrill were in Nipigon receni- ly for the baptism of grandson Stephen Douglas, of Thunder Bay. The ceremony was conducted in St. Mark's Anglican Church by Rev. R.J.S.Inshaw. Greg .Morrill and Ray Sisson, uncles of the baby, were godparents and Miss Linda Shepherd of Thunder Bay was godmother. Besides the baby's parents, Mr.ond Mrs. Stephen Morrill, others present were Karen Morrill and Mrs. Douglas Holland (maternal grandmother), all of Thunder Bay; Warren and Brent Morrill, Mrs.Ray Sisson and Miss Estelle Chicoine of Schreiber and Mrs .Inshaw of Nipigon. Following the service dinner was held in the Voy- ageur , with special cake made by Mrs.Holland cen- tering the table. Mrs .Bob Ellicott is visiting relations in Copen- hagen, Denmark. Mrs .WAyne Wilson is visiting her sister, Mrs.Geo. Noble in Sudbury and together they will visit rela- tives in Ottawa, Toronto and vicinity. FOR JESSIE MACADAM Mrs. Jessie Macadam who is leaving Schreiber to reside in Thunder Bay (F'), was honored at a community farewell social in the United Church Hall where she was presented many gifts and good wishes. Each of those making presen- tations referred to the years Mrs. Macadam had spent in Schreiber. She moved to the community when 11 years old. During * her residence, Mrs. Macadam has made many con- tributions to community life through her church and lodge work. Presenting gifts were Mrs. Helen Wallace, for community, a novel set of potholders made of interwoven dollar bills; Mrs. Frank Fummerton, United Church Women; Mrs. Jack Win- ters, Ladies Auxiliary to Cana- dian Legion, Branch 109; Mrs. Wesley Clemens, Women's In- stitute; and Mrs. John Morris, Ruby Rebekah Lodge. Mrs. Macadam is a charter member of both the Legion Aux- iliary and Women's Institute. Pouring tea were Mesdames Nelson Smith, Wesley Clemens, Jack Winters and J. D. Bryson.
