Cavan- augh of Terrace Bay and Reeve F.V. Harness of Schreiber, we inspected the front yards in both towns, trying to pick the two (in our opinions) loveliest front gardens. Nature co-operated fully this year and the riot of color seen in front of many homes reflects the time and effort man contributed to produce such effective results. Needless to say it was very hard to make any decision. For the first time the Terrace Bay Horticultural Saciety plan fo present emblems to two homes in each town, which have been chosen by three judges as this years' best front gardens. MIKE'S BABY BOOK AT PUBLIC LIBRARY Dr. Mike's Baby Book is now available for those who are interested at the Terrace Bay Public Library during Library hours. This book was donated by the Terrace Bay Hospital Staff, past and present, to Dr. McCausland upon reaching 25 years of service as Terrace Bay's doctor. DON BOUDREAU HONOURED ON RETIREMENT Photo above = Mr. Don Boudreau is being presented a pin and jacket and town crest on it, by Reeve W.E. Cavanaugh upon his retirement and departure from Terrace Bay. GIFT PARCELS FOR ROUMANIA As a result of the Great Flood in Roumania, gift parcels containing food, clothing, linen and various household articles will be exempt from Customs charges in that country up to the 31st December 1970. Restriction on the number of articles accepted during this period have also been lifted.
