Volume 7, No, 5 LARGEST CIRCULATION IN TERRACE BAY Terrace Bay Curling Club plays host over the week-end to the North Shore in its annual invitational bonspiel, An outstanding array of rinks has registered from all along the North Shore and they will be descending upon our city starting Friday evening, Our old rivals, Marathon, will have two rinks in competition, along with wo from Schrei' er, Rossport one, Nipigon ons, Red Rock one, and Beardmore one. The balanae of the draw will be made up of eight local ¥yinks, Originally the first mocks were schedul- ed to be thrown at 7:00 p.m\ Fridey, but out of respect of the memory of pur late sover- eign, King George VI, there will be no matches scheduled for Friday. Hence, the take-off time was set forward to) 12:01 Sat- urday morning. Knowing the habits of junket- ing curlers, as we do, no one is going to lose any sleep that they wouldn!t have lost anyway. Terrace Bay will put some very tough rinks together to meet the onslaught -~ successfully, we hope, They will be skipped by Sinkins, Olsen, Farrow, Pineault, Wellings Cline, Lohr and Monteith. These boys are lining up the best available talent behind them, and we have our full quota of steady thirds, seconds, plus a good crop of fresh- men coming up.
