The board ordered a new trial for Sapper Edmond Doutre of Tor- onto. He was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment last Aug. 9 for the murder of Mrs. Pak Yong Boon, near Seoul, July 19, 1952. The court martial also ruled that Sapper Doutre be dismissed with disgrace from the Canadian Army. The soldier's defence had been that the death was accidental. The appeal board ruled that the judge advocate of the court martial did not bring this to the attention of the court properly. No Canucks Involved In Crash LONDON (AP)--The U.S. Air Force said Friday night that 10 American airmen were killed when their twin-engined C-47 transport and a Norwegian Thunderjet fighter collided near a west Nor- way air base. The Norwegian pilot of the Thunderjet also died whén his plane spun to earth. Earlier reports that there may have been some Canadians aboard the tr rt were discounted with confirmation that all aboard the transport were Americans, An air force spokesman said four crew members and six other U.S. airmen travelling as passengers were aboard the transport. dishes and a great many other articles too numerous to mention. Taken quite by surprise, Faye, on her arrival, was presented with a corsage and escorted to the seat of honor before the mantel gaily festooned with pink and white streamers and a white wedding bell. The many practical gifts were contained in a decorated clothes basket with some surrounding it. In a pleasing manner Faye ex- pressed her appreciation of the gifts and accompanying good wishes. LLANGOLLEN, Wales (CP)--A choir of singers from 10 countries including Canada sang Friday for the Queen as she ended her post- Coronation tour of Wales. * Before returning to London, the Queen and the Duke of Edin- burgh called late in the day at a great cross-shaped tent on a green hilltop where 1,500 Welshmen and their friends were singing at their Eisteddfod, the annual music fes- tival which is a famous Welsh in- stitution. The Queen, in a light blue dress and smiling bravely despite obvi- ous fatigue, entered the tent with the Duke and was welcomed by the singers. The choir, thrown together just for the greeting, was composed of singers from Wales, England, Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Spain, Switzerland and the United States as well as Can- ada. Music was the keynote of the visit to Wales, Everywhere the Queen and Duke went, they were greeted by great crowds cheering lustily and choral groups singing Welsh ballads. But nowhere did the Queen make a public speech. So Wales is still in the dark as to whether four-year-old Prince Charles may be created Prince of Wales soon. AUCKLAND, N.Z.
