Wilton of Oshawa, tock as his bride, Catharine Joyce Hopper, daughter of Mrs. Clarence gXennedy of Chatham. The ceremony was performed by CROCHET BOUQUET! Given in marriage by Mr. Clar- ence Kennedy, the bride was gown- ed in floor - length white lace and net designed with long sleeves and a Peter Pan collar, A Juliet cap held her fingertip veil and she car- ried red roses and white chrysan- themums. Her jewelry was white pearls, a family heirloom. Miss Beryl Hopper, sister of the bride, was maid-of-honor wearing blue taffeta. The other attendants were Miss Nora Robertson in yel- low and Mrs. Peter Belentz in green. Miss Janice Wilton, niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl in pink. All wore headdresses to match their gowns and carried white roses. Mr. Norman Wilton of Oshawa, brother of the bridegroom, was best man and the ushers were Mr. Roy Hopper of Chatham, brother of the bride, and Mr, William Han- cock of Oshawa. A reception was held at the Pitt Hotel, Chatham, where the bride's mother received wearing mauve crepe. The bridegroom's mother who assisted her was in navy blue. Both wore navy blue accessories and corsages of roses. Later Mr. and Mrs. Wilton left by motor for the southern United States. For travelling the bride wore a beige suit with a navy blue topcoat and a corsage of yellow roses. They will live in Chatham.
