This includes helping the Kingfisher Lake First Nation obtain a water tanker truck. The village of 500 is located 13 hours north of Thunder Bay and is accessible only by air, water or ice road. The $150,000 tanker truck will transport water from a filtration plant to tanks outside homes to provide residents with clean water. Auction proceeds will also be used for ongoing community support, including the Christmas hamper program, annual food drive and community lunches.
