12 TheThe South Marysburgh MirrorMirror Why be a slave to your lawn? October at the Winery Harvest - 2015 We began our harvest by picking our Pinot Gris, and the Pinot Noir will come off next week. We are fortunate that our Half Moon Bay vineyard will yield us some fruit which was not hit by the late May frost; however, most of our South Bay vineyard did not survive the cold. If the warm days hang on we may harvest some Merlot. Join us to celebrate the arrival of Fall and the countdown to harvest. Coming Releases We are bottling our 2013 Merlot and will let you know when it will be ready for sale. The 2012 was a great hit and sold out this season. The '13 is looking very promising with the aroma of cherry and tasting of blackberries and vanilla with a hint of chocolate and spice. A rare find in the County, this 100% estate grown Merlot will sell out quickly. Winery Hours We will stay open daily until Thanksgiving Monday. From there until Christmas we will be open weekends only or by appointment. Wassail Nov. 21 & 22 Nov. 28 & 29 Dec. 5 & 6 We will be pairing our wines with a variety of cheese fondues on each of these weekends, plus adding a Christmas market of our hand crafted barrel items... bread boards, cheese trays, candle holders, bar stools and other unique items.
