Tue. 18 - I helped Ketchen's thrash (cid:415)ll noon a(cid:332)er dinner helped Emmet another warm day. Wed.  19  -  Helped Phemore thrash. A(cid:332)er dinner Byron and I drew in three load of oats from back. Frank helped some. Thur. 20 - I bound in the four noon and Frank in the a(cid:332)er noon. We are having warm and nice weather. Fri.  21  - I bound oats with the binder in the four noon. A(cid:332)er dinner Frank started and a spring broke and we had to stop. Sat.  22  -  I went down to Picton a(cid:332)er a spring for the binder. Saw Pa and Ma. I got home at noon and a(cid:332)er dinner Frank wend back and finished the binding. Emmet came over and helped me set them up. Sun.  23  -  Dan came up and we went over to Salmon Point to see Dan's calves we couldn't find them. We got home at noon found Harry Hayhoe and wife here. Jake and Lib was over to Emmets visi(cid:415)ng. They were over awhile. Mon.  24  -  Dan and Emmets come up and helped me draw in oats. Got them all in about five loads. Tue. 25 - Well we have had a big rain last night and also it rain most all day. Wed.  26  -  Tinkered around at odd jobs. Cold and back- ward weather for tomatoes. I don't think they will be a very good crop this fall. Thur. 27 - I went back and turned the oats they are dry- ing very slow. Lloyd is growing fine. Fri.  28  -  Helped Emmet dig potatoes part of the four noon. A(cid:332)er dinner Byron and I drew in a load of oats. We have been looking for Mrs. Spafford up to day. Sat. 29 - Another rain and has rain all day. The wind has blew a gale and the apples are tumbling in all direc(cid:415)ons. Sun.  30  -  Sprinkled rain all day. A(cid:332)er dinner Mirt Lloyd and I went down to Dan's. Mirt and Ida went to church. Dan and I stayed home. Mon. 31  - I helped Emmet clean up wheat (cid:415)ll noon.
